lyrics
It was 1 AM when I blazed it up,
the working man has stopped making that ratched noise,
and I had some time to really think about,
whether he makes or he just simply destroys.
And it could have been one of those nights,
wrapped in false sense of feeling perfectly right,
just because you could write some words that rhyme,
am I really that dead and I dream I'm alive?
Could you offer some consolation tonight,
we could talk about stuff ike drugs and life,
talk about how smart we think we really are,
hell ain't mind sharper than a knife?
And if all paths lead to Rome,
then it ain't no wonder why we feelin' alone,
like a mule carrying a burden of my self-pride,
only one destination for a feeble mind.
But if all things are meant to die,
then it makes no sense to think you're truly alive,
or how one day there won't be no words to tell,
a frightful vision our thoughts become one again.
